About Amphitere

Amphitere was founded the 11th of April 2007. The original group of founders quickly grew, and in less than a month, the original 10 had gained new allies and stood triumphant over the corpse of Gruul the Dragonslayer.

But there is no rest for those who wish to reach for the top. Less than 3 weeks after Gruul was slain, Amphitere became the 11th guild on Twilights Hammer to vanquish Magtheridon, the mighty pitlord who at that time was one of the main roadblocks towards the lair of Prince Kael'Thas Sunstrider, Tempest Keep.

But we are getting ahead of ourselves here. Tempest keep was safe for a little while longer, as Amphitere turned it's attention towards Serpentshrine Cavern. From June 5th to June 21th the first four guardians of the caverns fell in quick succession, a new one each week.

And THEN we descended onto Tempest Keep. With the blood of the Tidewalker still fresh upon our blades, Amphitere dismantled the security system of the keep, otherwise known as Void Reaver. At this point, Amphitere had quickly become the 6/7th most progressed guild on the server, and the 4th most progressed horde-side. And bear in mind that all this was done with a raid schedule from 19:00-23:00, as many of the members of Amphitere has small children and jobs to attend.

And here we leave the story for a little while, as the guild is getting ready to venture into the nasty guild-killing areas of TBC raiding. Expect a follow-up over the weekend/early next week.
